Annual Reports

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ believes the public has a right to know how its public schools are doing. Thanks to a decision in the 1980s to create the Public Education Information Management System, known as PEIMS, Texas has one of the largest education databases in the world. It provides a treasure trove of information for researchers, parents and the public to examine and learn about the workings of about 1,200 school districts and charters, as well as TEA itself. That information and other data is used to create a number of reports that provide information about a variety of topics, such as student performance, spending and implementation of legislation.

2023 Annual Report

Accountability Research Reports

The Accountability Research Unit in the Division of Research and Analysis publish annual accountability research reports on Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations, college entrance examinations (SAT and ACT), enrollment trends, grade-level retention, and completion, graduation, and dropout rates. 

Discipline Data Products

°Õ·¡´¡'²õÌý, calculated from the data collected through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS), include Discipline Reports, Discipline Action Group Summary Reports, TAKS Assessment Reports for Students in Discipline Settings, and STAAR Assessment Reports for Students in Discipline Settings.

Legislative Reports

Each legislative session, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ is required to provide education-related reports to the Texas Legislature. This page currently contains reports to the 84th Texas Legislative session. Reports to older legislatures are also available.

Educator Reports

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ regularly conducts Educator-related Studies on demographics, attrition and retention, teacher shortages, mathematics and science teachers, and educator evaluations. 

Texas Public Education Information Resource

is a joint, cross-agency project managed by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The site contains student and teacher data collected from a variety of resources, including the Texas Student Data System, PEIMS, the TEA Student Assessment Division, the TEA State Funding Division, and Coordinating Board Management (CBM) Reports.
